Who is responsible

Bagnoud Optique Sàrl is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We handle personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). You can contact us about privacy at any time using the email address above.

What we collect

When you write to us or request an appointment, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your visit. During an appointment we record the results of your visual acuity test, your lens and frame choices, and the measurements taken to fit your glasses.

Vision test results relate to your health. We treat them with particular care, use them only to advise you and fit your eyewear, and do not share them for any other purpose.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange appointments.
  • To carry out your vision test and advise you on lenses and frames.
  • To prepare and fit the eyewear you order.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. Where needed to make your eyewear, we pass the necessary lens and frame details to the suppliers who produce it. Our email is provided by an external service, which processes messages on our behalf. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers and shares your IP address with Google when a page loads. The appointment form on this site does not store your details on a server; to be sure we receive your request, you can also email us directly.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only as long as needed to answer them. Appointment and fitting records are kept for as long as they are useful for your ongoing eye care and for any period required by Swiss law, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. You can also object to how we use it. Write to us at the email address above. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
