Every line on the chart, brought into focus.

Bagnoud Optique tests your visual acuity and then helps you choose the corrective lenses and frames that suit how you see, work and live. One conversation, no guesswork.

How a visit runs

Each appointment follows the same careful order, so the lenses and frames you choose rest on a clear picture of your eyesight.

  1. We talk first

How you use your eyes through the day matters: driving, reading, screen work, sport, the mountains. We start there, along with anything you have noticed about your vision.

  2. Visual acuity test

We measure how sharply you see at distance and up close, one eye at a time and then together, and check how corrective lenses change the result.

  3. Lens consultation

We explain what the results mean for you and which lens options fit your needs, in plain language, so you can decide with confidence.

  4. Frame selection

We help you find a frame that suits your face, sits comfortably and works with the lenses you have chosen.

Two decisions, made together

Choosing lenses

The right lens depends on what you need to see clearly and where. We look at your results and your routine side by side before recommending anything.

  • Distance, reading or both
  • Single vision or progressive lenses
  • Comfort for long hours at a screen
  • Tints and coatings that suit your day

Choosing frames

A good frame looks right and stays put. We help you weigh shape, fit and weight against the lenses it has to carry.

  • Proportion to your face
  • Bridge and nose fit
  • Weight and everyday comfort
  • A style that feels like yours

What we measure for a good fit

Lenses only work as intended when they sit in the right place in front of your eyes. These are the measurements we take when fitting your glasses.

Pupillary distance
The space between your pupils, so each lens centres on each eye.
Fitting height
Where your pupil sits within the frame, key for progressive lenses.
Bridge width
How the frame rests on your nose without pinching or slipping.
Temple length
How the arms reach your ears so the frame stays level.
